Create an event with just a name and a date to start collecting RSVPs, then fill in the rest of the details whenever you’re ready.
Steps
Creating an event
- Go to the Events page. Click Events in the left menu.
- Click Create Event.
- Enter the required details. Give your event a name and an exact date and time. These are the only two fields you need to publish an event.
- Add optional details (now or later). Fill in whatever you have:
- Event image
- Location (becomes a tappable map link for members)
- Venue
- Description
💡 Tip: You don’t need to have everything figured out. Publish your event with just a name and date, and members can start RSVPing right away — add the venue, description, and photo as those details come together.
- Choose free or paid. If you’re charging for the event, mark it Paid and set a price. You can accept payment two ways:
- Card checkout — members buy tickets directly through your connected Stripe account (up to 10 tickets per purchase).
- Payment link — send members to an external link (like Venmo or PayPal) instead; you mark payments received manually.
- Click Save to publish your event.
Updating an event
- Open the event from the Events page and click Edit.
- Change any field — name, date, image, location, venue, description, or pricing — and click Save.
📌 Note: Members RSVP separately from registering or buying tickets. RSVP is just a headcount for planning; Registration (free events) and Ticket Purchase (paid events) are the actual commitment to attend.
Tracking RSVPs and tickets
- Open the event to see your RSVP totals — yes, no, no-response, and guest counts — along with the full attendee list.
- For paid events with card checkout, you’ll also see a ticket-sales report showing who purchased and for whom.
📌 Note: During beta, card checkout for ticket purchases is temporarily disabled. Members will see a notice instead of checkout. Free events and RSVPs work normally.
